My research and expertise cover a broad range of themes related to asylum seeking and exile. I have studied, among other things, the protection of urban refugees, removal of asylum seekers, mixed citizenship couples, and older refugees. I am particularly interested in the integration of concepts of human geography into refugee research, in qualitative research and in research ethics. I am the events co-coordinator for the SC on FMR. I have a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford from 2014, and I work as a Senior Reserach Fellow responsible for studies on forced migration at the Migration Institute of Finland.
