Elizabeth Challinor holds a BA in Languages and Literature – French, Spanish (Oxford University1988), a Masters in Rural and Social Development (Reading University1993) and a Masters and PhD in Social Anthropology (Sussex University1996, 2001). She has carried out field work in Cape Verde and Portugal. Her research areas include development anthropology, motherhood and migration, public policy and refugee reception.
