The European Commission's DG HOME is adopting its first ever communications strategy. One priority is to work more closely with affected messengers, multipliers and third-party endorsements. DG HOME is also committed to ongoing dialogue with those most affected by EU policies, most notably through its annual European Migration Forum and its renewed Urban Agenda Partnership on Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees. Greater outreach and support is needed for migrant and refugee leaders as well as local actors most directly affected by EU policy. How can the recommendations made by migrant leaders and local stakeholders be implemented in a more structural manner, so that future consultations and communications efforts can rapidly identify, reach and engage those most affected?
