Daniël van Wijk works as a PhD Candidate at NIDI. He aims to use quantitative methods to improve our understanding of demographic change, segregation, and socio-economic inequality. His PhD project focuses on how economic conditions influence the decision to make long-term commitments to the family among Dutch natives and migrant groups.
